Sneer is an open source, fine-grained component platform for P2P social network applications.

It is a pojo-style crossover between Skype and OSGi on a serious XML-free diet.

It completely dismisses questionable middlemen such as email providers, Google, Facebook, etc; and sets the scene for applications that empower users to control and share their information and computing resources with their freinds in an autonomous, sovereign manner.

Users are able to create, share and assemble their own tiny components called bricks (as in Lego) to build Sovereign Applications (Snapps).

See you soon, The Sneer Team.

i just made my term paper about this applications and most applications used in desktop. Sovereign applications is one of the application used. Most application can be classified in two types: the sovereign and the transient application.

Sovereign application are the applications may use by the people in long period of time and best used in full screen mode. example is Adobe Photoshop etc...

Transient application are the applications in desktop that rarely to use by people and can be use in small screen mode, example like calculator.
